Mario Lucia scored midway through the third period to snap a 2-all tie and No. 13 Notre Dame ran its unbeaten streak to 12 in a 3-2 win over New Hampshire Saturday at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H.

Lucia's game-winner, assisted by Thomas DiPauli and Andy Ryan, came after the Wildcats had scored twice in the second period to erase a 2-0 Irish advantage.

DiPauli put Notre Dame up 1-0 with his ninth goal of the season on a power play, assisted by Steven Fogarty and Jordan Gross, and Jake Evans added a power play goal on passes from Anders Bjork and Bobby Nardella to increase the advantage to 2-0 less than a minute into the second period.

New Hampshire (8-12-4, 2-6-4 HE) got goals from Andrew Poturalski and Harry Quast before Lucia's goal at the 11:45 mark of the third period.

Cal Petersen made 22 saves as the Irish moved to 14-4-7 overall and 10-1-2 in Hockey East. Notre Dame will put the nation's longest unbeaten streak on the line Friday against league rival Boston College at Compton Family Ice Arena.
