Sendoff is planned for Notre Dame hockey team

Notre Dame has announced a Frozen Four sendoff for its hockey team Tuesday evening.

Fans can line up in front of the Compton Family Ice Arena starting at 5 p.m. The bus will leave at 5:30 p.m.

Fans also are invited to watch the team practice from 3-4:50 p.m. Tuesday on the Lefty Smith Rink at the Compton Family Ice Arena.

Notre Dame takes on Michigan in the national semifinal game Thursday night.

The puck will drop at 9:30 p.m. ET from the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn., which is home to the NHL's Minnesota Wild.

The contest can be seen on ESPN2 and WatchESPN, with the radio call available on 94.3 FM in South Bend and worldwide on UND.com.
