Quoting Jackson: (What he learned at Michigan State). “Anytime you go on road and win, it’s a good thing. A large part of why we won is we got good the goaltending (Morris stopped 55 of 57 shots in the two games). We finally scored a power-play goal, and we did not give up one against a very good power-play. There were some real positives.”

(About Northern Michigan). “They had a great season last year (25-15-3). They’ve been a little up and down this season but had some success – they beat Michigan State (4-3) at Michigan State, they’ve had some big wins. They are really good in in offensive zone and their goaltender is good. We know Grant really well. He’s done a really good job there. That team is definitely on the rise.”
