Brianna Turner injury update expected Tuesday from Notre Dame

Word on the condition of Notre Dame sophomore Brianna Turner is expected Tuesday, according to officials at Notre Dame.

Turner, the preseason Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball player of the year, reportedly suffered a right shoulder injury last week prior to Notre Dame winning the Junkanoo Jam in Freeport, Bahamas. 

Turner did not play in the two games of that tourney.

She was averaging 14.3 points per game and was leading the Irish in rebounding at 6.8 per game. She also had 15 blocks in the four games she played.

No.3-ranked Notre Dame is scheduled to meet No. 10 Ohio State Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Joyce Center at Purcell Pavilion.
