Notre Dame F Brianna Turner to miss remainder of season with torn ACL

Notre Dame women's basketball player Brianna Turner will be lost for the season, having suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee, the university announced on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-3 junior All-American post was injured in Sunday's 88-82 overtime NCAA Tournament second-round victory over Purdue. She scored 10 points in just 15 minutes before exiting and leads the Irish with 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

The Irish will be in action again at 7 p.m. Friday in the Lexington Regional opener against Ohio State.
