Former Notre Dame guard Ali Patberg will transfer to Indiana University, according to a tweet by Herald Times reporter Jon Blau, citing Patberg's father, Ron.

UPDATE: Patberg confirmed the news on Monday with a post on Instagram.

I will be forever grateful for the coaches and my teammates at Notre Dame, who gave me the opportunity to experience, play, and attend a great university. I will miss it, but I am excited for my next step in my life. I am very excited and thankful to have the opportunity to be apart of a very special program at Indiana. #Hoosiers #allindiana

Patberg was Indiana's Miss Basketball in 2015 out of Columbus North High School.

Patberg battled injuries and illness while at Notre Dame and was used sparingly.

This past season, the 5-10 sophomore played in 22 games, averaging 7.7 minutes a contest. She totaled 18 points, 11 assists and three steals.

She did not play her freshman year at Notre Dame because of injury and will have to sit out a year before she plays for Indiana.
