Notre Dame's Arike Ogunbowale set to appear on 'Ellen' show

The post-national championship victory ride continues for Notre Dame junior guard Arike Ogunbowale with an appearance Friday on syndicated TV talk show Ellen, with Ellen DeGeneres.

Ogunbowale hit game-winning shots in the final second of both an NCAA Tournament semifinal win over No. 1 UConn on Friday night and the title game victory over No. 4 Mississippi State on Sunday night to help deliver the Irish women’s basketball program its second-ever national championship.

Ogunbowale, on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated, was in Los Angeles on Wednesday to tape the Ellen show.

The show will air locally Friday at 3 p.m. EDT on WSBT-TV, Channel 22.
